This year the Rugby 7s women's tournament for the Austrian Title took place in Graz on June 8th.
Having won last year as a joint team with Vienna Celtic Rugby Club, this season our ladies were participating in the championship with a 100% Stade squad.

After a clear win (22-5) in the semi-final against Donau Rugby Club, our ladies played the "Red Rucking Rockets" (a Wombats/Melk joint team) for the final.

Under extremely heavy rain, the Red Rucking Rockets took the lead at 1"28, but this would be their only try in this game. The Stade Rugby blue-pink army came back after a beautiful collective try two minutes later, and even managed to score a second one before the half-time. The 2nd half was clearly dominated by our ladies who finally won the game 20:5.

With this success the team has written a new line of the Stade Rugby club history: first women's title ever with a 100% Stade Rugby team.

Congratulations ladies, you are the first ones ever!
