Stade could align a team at a touch tournament organised by Donau the 31st of July 2021.
The tournament happened under perfect weather conditions attracting several teams from Vienna.

Our team was an example in parity representation!
We were welcoming for this event two new players so considering various experiences, we had to align quickly on basic tactics.

The first game was „the slap in the face“, we could not generate a single opportunity and we had to concede 7 tries! The following break was used cleverly by our captain Raphael Seidler to boost our ego!

The second game was another large defeat 0-5 but we could start feeling a better organisation in our defensive and offensive phases.
This time the key sentence was coming from captain' son Gabriel Seidler (also player at Stade!): „are you guys OK not to score a single try ?“

That was enough to wake up the rooster!… The third team would be our „prey“... and indeed we could celebrate our first victory 5-4! Special thumbs up to Vikaas scoring 3 times!

Our last game was against the same opponent than during the second round. Great opportunity to check our progress! After an intense game we had to concede another defeat 3-4 (aber dieses Mal - Kopf hoch!).

Stade was showing a good behaviour playing fair and increasing the level along the day! As conclusion, we clearly need to work on the warm up to get more quickly into games!

Thanks a lot to Donau for organising this great day - always a pleasure to be here! We also could watch South Africa against Lions and enjoy a juicy burger at their Clubhouse.
