Stade Rugby Club Wien is welcoming Vienna Celtic Rugby Football Club Old-Boys in a friendly on Saturday June 27th for the 25th anniversary festival . This is a great opportunity for the Old Boys to test some new players and, to gain some experience as a team and to test the fitness of the oldest ones.

Philippe Chassaing (captain), Omar Belgacem, Sylvain Lelait, from the XV Pariser took this great opportunity to join the team after many years mental training whereas Celtic used this opportunity to complement the team with the touch warriors, probably the most experienced and fit guys… a promising game and a real challenge for Stade coach Stephane Pannard

The heavy rain delayed the Kick off by 15 minutes, sending fans to look for cover. After the negotiations with the landlord to maintain the game the first half has been a real battle with a fantastic engagement from both sides and a surprising quality in the game. The very enthusiastic supporters delivered an outstanding performance as well.
The first try came from Celtics scored from a well drilled set piece move..
Stade started to add some structure to the game. Making a lot of line breaks and gaining good territory. Stade stayed in the game by scoring one in the second half after a fantastic move from the backs
Courage, engagement, experience and Esprit have been the ingredient for a very nice rugby cocktail on Saturday.

The final score was 5 - 5.

The old boys have come a long way in the last three months recruiting a vast amount of new players, this brings a lot of promise for the next few seasons as these team matures.
